## Hebrew s46 on the Dicta test corpora (2026-09-01)

The disclosed modern-text gap, measured (eval_hebrew_dicta.py, TODO
07; corpora: Dicta ACL 2020, public domain, on
rababa-datasets:dicta-test/):

| corpus | s46 greedy DER | examples | GT density |
|---|---|---|---|
| Modern (HebrewWiki) | **0.5209** | 253 | 0.79 marks/letter |
| Poetry | **0.2377** | 959 | 0.79 |
| Rabbinic (Bet Yosef) | **0.4523** | 164 | 0.81 |

Protocol: line-level units (<=512 chars), greedy, the same seq2seq_der
harness as the Nakdimon row; corpora are densely vocalized (~0.8
marks/letter), so the low DERs are not a sparsity artifact. NOT
directly comparable to D-Nikud's published DEC (token-level metric,
their splits) without protocol mapping — recorded as our-row-only.
Interpretation: s46 is strong across modern, poetry, and rabbinic
line-level registers; the Hebrew campaign's weak surface is
specifically the Naknimon-style paragraph-level Biblical/Rabbinic
test (16.44) — register coverage, not a general modern-text gap.
dicta_eval.json beside the checkpoint carries the raw result.
