What changed

• Added a bilingual General settings card with language selection, launch-at-login controls, and a customizable global show/hide shortcut that is active only while Codex is running and visible.
• Added an About CodexNotes card with author, GitHub, X, feedback email, WeChat reward code, manual update checks, and opt-in daily update checks.
• Improved Settings layout, link hover/focus affordances, email copying, card order, and the editor window-resize hint.
• Fixed long-running reliability issues in Codex log bootstrap and rotation handling, Settings/main-window toggling, and window frame restoration.
• Added adaptive first-launch sizing and placement across laptop and external displays while preserving user-resized windows.
• Bumped the app to 1.4.69 (build 89) and documented update privacy and the global shortcut.

Why

The release turns the Settings screen into a complete product surface and removes several failure modes that could leave notes read-only, move the window after relaunch, or make global controls unreliable. It also establishes a safe GitHub Release update path without automatic downloads or telemetry.

User impact

Users get Chinese and English UI, optional launch at login, an editable global shortcut, About/support/contact links, update checks, more reliable task following after long Codex sessions, and better window behavior on different displays. Existing note files and saved window sizes remain authoritative.

Validation

• 573 local Swift tests passed (377 Probe + 196 Core).
• Localization verification passed for 2 languages and 292 keys.
• Release-mode arm64 build succeeded.
• The 1.4.69 (89) preflight ZIP passed strict code-signature verification and contained the new localized resources.
• The full staged scope was checked for credentials, private note data, machine paths, and image metadata; no unintended private data was found.
