Labels

The issue list has a cryptic labelling scheme, but there is a method to the madness.

Priority

Priority labels start with a caret (^).

• ^P1 - Urgent priority
• ^P2 - High priority
• ^P3 - Normal priority
• ^P4 - Low priority

Scope

Scope labels start with a forward slash (/) and are used to separate issues between major sub-projects within the Joomla Project itself.

• /CMS - Documentation issues that relate to the Joomla CMS.
• /Framework - Documentation issues that relate to the Joomla Framework.

Time Estimates

Time estimate labels are prefixed with "~" and give an estimated measure of the time an issue should take in hours.

• ~1 - About an hour
• ~2 - About two hours, and so on.

Category

Category labels don't start with any special character.

• todo - Something you could help do.
• bug - Documentation that contains a bug or some sort of problem.
• help! - An issue someone needs help with (how do I use X).
• suggestion - Anything that helps make this site better.
