On an hp ProBook 6560b, the install leaves a non bootable disk, with both LMDE 6 and 7.
I tried many different things, automatic- and manual partitioning (with GPT and MBR) included.
Debian 13 itself installs just fine though.
This model does not let you enter the BIOS setup when the disk has no bootable system installed.
In that case the BIOS might meddle with the boot settings, thus I am not sure if it touches legacy or UEFI support.
Once Debian was installed and I looked at it, it did say that UEFI boot was enabled,
but prior Boot Repair insisted on me using MBR (msdos) partition table for that disk.
LMDE also (when automatic partitioning used) creates a msdod partition table,
2 MB of free space, 8 GB swap partition, 2 MB free space, ext4 / partition.
I have then tried Mint 22.2 Mate, and it worked.
