<h2>ChatGPT, Claude, and other MCP clients</h2>
<p>
The mdbase plugin and connector use the MCP endpoint <code>https://mcp.mdbase.dev/mcp</code>.
Each collection is approved separately, with its own operations.
</p>

<strong>A collection is missing.</strong> Ask the assistant to connect
another collection, then approve it at the link it gives you.
</li>
<li>
<strong>Writes are refused.</strong> The collection was approved for
reading only. Ask the assistant to reconnect it and approve write
access.
</li>
<li>
<strong>Operations fail or time out.</strong> A local collection is
reachable only while its computer is on and the Connect app is running.
Hosted collections do not depend on your computer. Check
<a href="https://status.mdbase.dev">service status</a>.
</li>
</ul>

<h2>Manage or revoke access</h2>
<p>
Review connected applications, collections, and computers in
<a href="https://editor.mdbase.dev/connect">Connect</a>. Revoking an
application's access takes effect on its next request. To be sure an
assistant can no longer reach a collection, revoke its access in Connect
rather than only removing the plugin or connector from the assistant.
