A compact sample, plugin and preset browser that docks next to Ableton Live and FL Studio.
Dig through your Splice samples, plugins, racks and saved channels from one narrow window.
- Works with Ableton Live and FL Studio. Pick your host in the settings (Rummage also switches by itself when only one is open).
- In FL Studio, drag plugins straight into the channel rack or mixer, and FL projects (
.flp) show up under projects. - In Ableton Live, plugins load through Live's own search, and racks and channels can be dragged in and out.
- In FL Studio, drag plugins straight into the channel rack or mixer, and FL projects (
- Docks next to your DAW. When your host opens, Rummage moves to the left edge and resizes the DAW to fill the rest of the screen.
- One library for everything. Splice samples, your Ableton User Library, FL Studio's audio and plugin database, VST3, VST2, CLAP, Waves, and Live's and FL's own devices.
- Accurate plugin detection.
- VST3 categories come from each plugin's own metadata.
- VST2 files are checked so helper DLLs don't show up as plugins.
- FL Studio's plugin database finds plugins installed anywhere.
- Mono, Stereo and Mono/Stereo versions are kept as one plugin, with a picker in the preview panel.
- Samples sorted by type (optional). Turn on by type to sort every sample into Kicks, Snares, Hi-hats, 808s & Bass, Vocals, FX and more, each split into Loops and One-shots. Your folders stay untouched; turn it off to see them as they are.
- Every location is editable. Add, change or remove the sample, VST3, VST2, CLAP, Waves and FL Studio folders in Settings → Library.
- Folder tree with colour waveforms. Every sample gets a small waveform tinted by timbre (warm for lows, cool for highs).
- Preview panel. Click to play from any point. Right-click and hold to audition. Scroll to zoom and drag the waveform straight into Ableton.
- Pitch and tempo are independent. Pitch, fine and octave change the key without changing speed. Tempo changes speed (shown in BPM) without changing the key.
- Quick edits. Trim, normalize, swap L/R, polarity, reverse and gain, with save to write a new WAV into
Documents\Rummage\Edits. - Organise your way.
- Favourites, tags, colour labels and custom icons per folder.
- Crates (collections) and pinned folders in the sidebar.
- Saved searches. Searches can also use
bpm:140andkey:Am.
- Plugins sorted by job. Compressors, EQ, tuners, reverb/delay, saturation, creative effects, utilities and synths. Change any category with one click.
- Live sync. The library rescans by itself when you download new Splice sounds. Racks or channels you save from Live into
Documents\Rummage\Libraryshow up instantly. - Make it yours. Five themes, accent colours, waveform colour modes, background image, interface size (80–160 %), row height, and a switch to show or hide every part of the interface.

Download Rummage Setup x.y.z.exe from the Releases page and run it.
The installer is not code-signed yet, so Windows SmartScreen may warn you. Click More info → Run anyway.
- In Live's browser, click Add Folder under Places and pick
Documents\Rummage\Library. - Drag any device, rack or whole track into that folder. Live saves it as
.adv,.adgor.als. - It appears in Rummage under My Library, ready to drag back into any set.

- Windows only for now. The scanning paths are Windows paths.
- "Load into Ableton" for plugins focuses Live's own search with the plugin name. You still press Enter in Live. Samples, racks and presets load by drag and drop.
- In FL Studio, plugins are dragged or opened through FL's plugin database, so FL needs to have scanned them once (Options → Manage plugins).
- Plugin categories are guessed from names. Fix any of them from the preview panel.
Issues and pull requests are welcome. The app is plain Electron with no framework:
main.jsscans the disk and talks to Windows.preload.jsexposes a small API.index.htmlholds the whole UI.
