I'm Shankar Morwal — co-founder and CTO of HabileLabs, helping enterprises adopt Cloud, Data and AI without betting the business on it.

I was supposed to be an electronics engineer. I studied Electronics & Communication at MNIT Jaipur, graduated with the 2011 batch, spent about a year writing Java — and then the mobile boom hijacked me into web and mobile development. I've been stuck with that new passion ever since.

Alongside HabileLabs I serve as CTO at iSEEit, a native Salesforce opportunity-management product built around the MEDDIC methodology — checkpoint pipeline views, relationship mapping, evidence-based forecasting. I took it from zero to one and still own its technical direction. Going 0→1 on a product is a different discipline from scaling a services business, and doing both keeps each one honest.

On 10 June 2016, Ankit Dhir and I were appointed directors of Habilelabs Pvt. Ltd. on the day it was incorporated. A decade later we're still the only two names on the register — no third director, no funding rounds — and the Jaipur startup has become a global engineering and consulting partner.

I own the technology side of it: architecture, delivery, security posture, and turning AI from a demo into something that survives production and audit.

I lead HabileLabs' AI practice. In 2026 that means far less "can we demo this" and far more "can this hold up under load, and can it pass an audit." Most engagements start with strategy rather than a model, because the expensive mistakes are made before anyone picks one.

Most of my recent work sits where regulated data meets cloud scale — NBFCs, banks and insurers who can't simply lift-and-shift.

Most of what's public on this account is a fossil record of JavaScript's last decade — CoffeeScript and Backbone in 2014, Node and Mongo in 2015, AngularJS and Ionic in 2016, Meteor, then React Native and Expo monorepos by 2020. My most-starred repo here is a Chrome extension boilerplate whose README asks "WHO MADE THIS?" and answers with a personal site that no longer exists.

I've kept it public because that's where I came from. The current work lives at habilelabs.io, in the habilelabs org, and in private repos with my team's names on the commits — which is exactly where it should be.

When I'm not coding: travelling, playing cricket, and reading Nifty50 charts far too closely.
