S-expressions don't have to be as verbose as they usually are. Example 1, example 2, example 3. Basically the insight is indentation and line breaks make most parens unnecessary, and inferring them in a lot of cases can be done unobtrusively. I also like my Termpose's pairing operator :3 a:b → (a b), quite a lot of structures benefit from it.

Not likely.

I know there are endless jokes about copious parentheses in Lisp, but I'm not convinced that it's a serious issue when reading or writing code. Naked syntax has its share of drawbacks, too. Some of these are noted in your second link. Another drawback is complexity of parser code.

As for pairing syntax, the form :foo is already in use for keyword values.

@makoConstruct it shouldn't be too difficult to translate "naked mode" to s-expressions by reading reading with sweet-expressions enabled, and printing using the normal common lisp printer, you could write one yourself (if there are not already, are there?). Or maybe more efficient: parse directly into ketos lists, using a function defined in ketos
