(M1 Max and M1) Test Fan Control and Temp Sensors

Who this is for: Anyone with an M1 BASE (With fan) or M1 Max Mac. No coding required.

What I need tested:
Install the latest Core-Monitor direct build. Confirm temperature sensors populate, fan RPM is detected correctly, System mode behaves normally, and verify manual fan control can be enabled and returned to System control.

Please comment with:
Mac model, chip, macOS version, fan count, whether temperatures appear correctly, whether RPM appears correctly, and any screenshots/errors.

No code contribution required. A test result in this issue is already useful. If the model needs a mapping/code fix afterward, we can turn that into a separate PR. M1 Pro has ALREADY been tested.

M1 Max Mac Studio (2022)

Fan Speed

Fans respond correctly, but the app lists two fans when the unit only has one.

A small UI point, but 1300rpm is a more traditional way of showing the value rather than 1.3k on the sidebar. Same goes for the radial graphs. You can do something like this but I don't think the RPM label is even needed (note: RPM should be capitalized as it is an abbreviation but that's getting pedantic):

Thermals

Comparing it to MacFanControl shows things look good. One thing that would be a nice addition would be including the sensors from the internal and any external drives. MFC shows both and it is really valuable to see the thermals from my external drive as some can run really hot, which negatively affects transfer speeds. Showing a more detailed break down would also be valuable as Macs have a litany of sensors. I have included the readout from MFC for you.

Power Draw

This seems like it should be renamed to Battery and perhaps omitted once the app is run for the first time on a desktop Mac that lacks one. Given the Mac Studio does draw power, a user should expect something here but it reads all zeros. Not the ideal user experience.

Thanks! Quick correction, as confirmed from disassembly, the M1 Max Mac Studio DOES have 2-fans, in a blower configuration. https://www.ifixit.com/News/57898/mac-studio-teardown I'll also keep working upon the other issues.

@offyotto Oh cool, I didn't realize that. I guess that's why the SoC is always basically stuck in the low 40s no matter what I do, lol. Serious overkill!
