`SpeechCreateParams.Voice` constants do not match the voices lists in the speech synthesis OpenAI API docs

I am using the latest library version 4.6.1.

Some of the voices listed at https://platform.openai.com/docs/api-reference/audio/createSpeech#audio-createspeech-voice ("alloy", "ash", "ballad", "coral", "echo", "fable", "onyx", "nova", "sage", "shimmer" and "verse") do not have a corresponding constant in SpeechCreateParams.Voice (https://javadoc.io/doc/com.openai/openai-java/latest/com/openai/models/audio/speech/SpeechCreateParams.Voice.html).

In particular, "fable", "onyx" and "nova" are missing, and the Java library provides constants CEDAR and MARIN that don't appear to match up with supported voices in the speech synthesis API.

Thanks for reporting this. The fable, onyx, and nova omission remains present in the v4.68.0 generated voice constants. It is tracked upstream in openai-openapi#581: the published Speech description lists those names, but its referenced enum omits them.

In v4.68.0, the builder also has a string overload, so you can use .voice("fable"), .voice("onyx"), or .voice("nova") instead of a named constant. This works around SDK discoverability, not model/voice compatibility restrictions.

For the other part of the report, marin and cedar now both appear in the published Speech voice description. I checked the published schema and released Java source, not live synthesis requests. The missing-constants portion remains open; no corrected release is being claimed.

Fixed on main by generated SDK PR #1088. The regenerated SpeechCreateParams.Voice.UnionMember1 now provides FABLE, ONYX, and NOVA.

The correction is also present in the published OpenAPI schema: these names are added specifically for Speech, preserving the shared vocabulary used by Realtime, arbitrary voice strings, and custom voice references. The Speech description includes marin and cedar, addressing the other documentation mismatch in this report.

Closing as fixed in the merged source and generated SDK. Java v4.70.0 is tracked by release PR #1084; package publication has not yet been verified. Until that release is available, existing versions can continue using .voice("fable"), .voice("onyx"), or .voice("nova").
