Motivation: each paragraph in a blockquote rendered in its own native text view. iOS selection cannot cross text views, so dragging a selection handle stopped at the end of the first quoted paragraph. Approach: the blockquote branch of NativeMarkdownBlock now reuses nativeMarkdownDocumentChunks on the quote's children. Consecutive plain children (paragraphs, plain lists) share one selectable text view; code, tables, images and nested quotes stay separate rich blocks. The quote bar remains a border on the parent View, so it still spans wrapped lines. Side effect: paragraphs merged into one text view use the same paragraph spacing as top-level markdown, so quoted paragraph gaps are slightly larger than the previous 6px. Validation: - pnpm exec vp test run src/lib/nativeMarkdownText.test.ts (apps/mobile): 60 passed. The added test covers the chunk grouping the fix relies on; it exercises an unchanged helper and would also pass before this change. - vp fmt, vp lint on the changed files and tsc --noEmit in apps/mobile reported no errors. - Not run: iOS simulator or Android. The rendering change itself has no automated coverage, and cross-paragraph selection is unverified on a device. 🟡 Medium src/NativeMarkdownBlock.tsx:573
A list inside a blockquote nested under another list renders with top-level •/◦ markers instead of the expected nested ◦/▪︎ markers and indentation. The selectable chunk path invokes SelectableNode without the enclosing depth, so its nativeMarkdownDocumentRuns call restarts list depth at 1; thread depth through this path when building the runs.

ApprovabilityVerdict: Would Approve Macroscope's review found this PR approvable — This is a small, localized mobile rendering fix that consolidates blockquote text into shared selectable views while keeping rich blocks separate. An unresolved Medium-severity issue remains for nested-list depth and marker rendering, which represents a concrete edge-case risk. Not approved because:

This test calls
nativeMarkdownDocumentChunksdirectly. It checks chunk kinds and child counts, but it does not render the blockquote throughNativeMarkdownBlockor exercise the iOS selectable text view. The existing list test also checks generated runs only. A regression in the renderer-to-native-view path could therefore pass both tests while preventing quoted paragraphs from being selected together.Add a focused native/component test that renders consecutive quoted paragraphs and asserts that they share one selectable native text surface, or performs a selection across the paragraph boundary.

What Changed
The blockquote branch of
NativeMarkdownBlocknow groups consecutive plain children (paragraphs, plain lists) into one selectable text view, using the existingnativeMarkdownDocumentChunks. Code, tables, images and nested quotes still render as separate blocks. The quote bar is still a border on the parent view. Added a small chunk-grouping test. Why
Each quoted paragraph was its own native text view, and iOS selection can't cross text views, so dragging a selection stopped at the end of the first quoted paragraph. This follows the approach described in the triage comment on the issue. Paragraph gaps inside quotes now match top-level paragraph spacing, so they are slightly larger than before.
Validation:
pnpm exec vp test run src/lib/nativeMarkdownText.test.tspasses (60 tests). Lint, format andtsc --noEmitreported no errors. Not run: iOS simulator or Android. The rendering change has no automated coverage, and the added test would also pass before the change.UI Changes
No screenshots. I could not run the iOS simulator here.
