What happened?
Some of my players reported that attempting to mute a single player would instead mute multiple people in the lobby. At first, I assumed this was intended behavior, but after creating my own player mute menu, I discovered the exact same issue. Both the stock menu and my custom menu use the
TogglePlayerMuteengine function, so the problem appears to originate there rather than in the menu implementation. From my testing:
If you mute a player who was already in the lobby when you joined (or someone who joined before you), everyone who was present at that time is muted, while players who joined later remain unaffected.
If you mute a player who joined after you, the mute works correctly and only affects that specific player.
Expected result
It should only mute the player you intended to mute.
