Ripple tank remote laboratory funded by Royal Academy of Engineering Ingenious grant 2025-26 for high school outreach activities. The ripple tanks automatically maintain water depth by filling from a reservoir and are pre-configured with different setups, including one or two wave sources, various water depths and different optics (reflectors and refractors). The user interface enables control of wave frequency and amplitude and the measurement of wavelength, supporting students to perform in depth investigations of wave properties beyond the typical classroom use of ripple tanks for demonstration and observation of wave behaviours only.
