This PR adds an optional status-file fallback for Slurm installations where
sacct is inaccessible from the submission host. It also adds optional
preservation of logical shared-filesystem paths when login and worker nodes
expose the same storage through different mount aliases.
Existing behavior remains unchanged by default:
