Summary

Adds all six requested Office capabilities:

  • Word targeted section editing: read a heading or physical section and insert or replace its content without changing the selection. Edits require the exact current text so stale content is rejected.
  • Word tracked-change review: inspect body revisions, explicitly accept or reject selected revision indices, and read or set tracking mode. Decisions require a matching document snapshot; there is no implicit accept-all or reject-all operation.
  • PowerPoint actual page dimensions: report the presentation's real width and height where supported. Slide generation uses those dimensions and explicitly reports any assumed size rather than silently guessing.
  • PowerPoint selected shapes: inspect selected shapes with slide/shape indices, IDs, names, types, bounds, and text previews.
  • Excel conditional and date filters: retain value-list filtering and add numeric/text conditions with And/Or combinations plus relative-date filters. Invalid or mixed criteria are rejected.
  • Excel slicers: list, create, inspect, select items, clear filters, configure appearance/position/size, and delete slicers for tables and PivotTables. Selection validates item keys.

Unsupported Office API requirements produce explicit errors. Host prompts and integration/real-host coverage are updated alongside the tools.

Documentation explains startup marketplace refresh and Office plugin install/update behavior, the need to restart the local server for plugin changes, and update-failure logging. It also clarifies that built-in Office tools are not MCP servers: the browser sends server selection settings, while the proxy resolves execution configuration and keeps credentials server-side.

Verification

Combined verification was completed in the parent implementation workspace before this publishing-only handoff:

  • Integration: 578 passed.
  • Real Excel Desktop: 244 passed, with 4 pre-existing optional AI tests pending.
  • Real PowerPoint Desktop: 17 passed.
  • Real Word Desktop: 29 passed.
  • Typecheck and production build passed; lint passed with one pre-existing pivot warning.

This fresh branch contains only the three Office implementation commits and the final directly related MCP documentation correction, applied onto current main. Its complete tracked-file tree matches parent commit 320e382ff833a19fe3dcb9e033bfe56e5977e96c. git diff --check and npm run typecheck passed here; the host suites were not rerun in this publishing-only workspace. The parent's unrelated, uncommitted WebSocket transport metadata edit is excluded.

- get_presentation_overview now reports the actual slide width/height in
inches via presentation.pageSetup (PowerPointApi 1.10), or says plainly
that the size is unavailable instead of guessing.
- add_slide_from_code used a non-existent presentation.slideWidth and always
fell back to 13.33x7.5 silently; it now uses pageSetup and flags any
  assumed size in its result.
- New get_selected_shapes tool (PowerPointApi 1.5): slide index, shape index,
shape ID, name, type, bounds in inches, text preview; explicit error when
  unsupported.
- PowerPoint prompts tell the agent to use the reported size and the new tool.
- Integration schema tests and real PowerPoint E2E coverage (incl. live 4:3
resize check and real shape selection).
