How to Freeze component but prevent from unmounting ?

I only want to hide the component but react-freeze unmount it everytime freeze prop changes.

My component triggers componentWillUnmount when it is suspending.
This happens with class component while the equivalent function component with useEffect and no dependencies, works fine.
Is it possible to avoid it? some workaround?

After hours of debugging I realized exactly what @artola just mentioned, this happens on class components but not function components, and ONLY when fabric is enabled - when disabled it's not unmounting my view. (I was testing on android with fabric enabled)
