Wrong Inverter is being discovered

My Inverter is X1 mini v34. it is discovered as if it is the X1LiteLV.

When inspecting the codebase, I found the schema for X1LiteLV way way too permissive.

I wrote a test for schema collisions, and it confirmed my findings.

Yes my X1 Mini G4 keeps getting discovered as an X1 Lite LV and breaking all the values. This should be much more deterministic

Unfortunately, it will not be 100% deterministic. My PR linked here, makes it more taxing (unlikely) for poorly written inverter schemas to be chosen in auto discovery.

The more deterministic fix is to be able to pick your inverter when configuring the HA integration. Which I have an open PR already on home assistant repo for that.

I believe @squishykid is may be overloaded (given the queue of issues/PRs). So I think it will take time until he review/approve fixes.

So, I created this custom integration as a drop in replacement for Solax official one.

I installed it on my HA using HACS. And all is working again.

What it does is it gives you a manual way to select the inverter model (by passing the auto discovery).

May be you want to give it a shot, until the fixes required land in releases.

Thanks for this @kdehairy I can confirm it lets me select inverter versions as advertised..

My issue is the underlying solax python module still has the incorrect inverter checks for the x1_g4_series (max data len 100). So even though I can force it to use that profile it still stops me using it 😟

Any ideas if your logic can bypass the json validation checks when you force inverter model? Or have I got to wait for @squishykid to merge any of the PRs (#214 #210 #197) for that?

@Disco402 sorry for the late reply. May availability on weekdays are not great.

Unfortunately, the integration (custom or not) is a HA interfacing no more. The heavy lifting is internal to the lib.

So, your ask is not achievable (in a sensible way) from the integration.

@Disco402 I think this repo can be declared dead. I hard forked it here and used by this custom integration

I did some cleaning and simplifications, so unfortunately your PRs won't work out of the box. If you are welling to redo them on the fork, I'll be happy to help.
