This document outlines the security policy for the Cyborg Conductor Core project. We take security seriously and strive to maintain a secure environment for all users.
| Version | Supported |
|---|---|
| 1.0.x | ✅ |
| < 1.0 | ❌ |
If you discover a security vulnerability within this project, please follow these steps:
- Do not create a public issue on GitHub
- Email the security team at security@cyborg-conductor-core.com
- Include a detailed description of the vulnerability
- Provide steps to reproduce the issue
- Include any relevant proof-of-concept code or screenshots
The security team will respond to your report within 48 hours. We will work with you to validate and address the vulnerability as quickly as possible.
- Keep software up to date with the latest security patches
- Use strong authentication mechanisms for system access
- Implement network segmentation to limit exposure
- Regularly audit access logs for suspicious activity
- Enable encryption for data at rest and in transit
- Implement role-based access control (RBAC) for system components
- Use principle of least privilege for all users and services
- Regularly review user permissions and access rights
- Implement multi-factor authentication where possible
- Secure service-to-service communication with mutual TLS
- Encrypt sensitive data at rest using industry-standard encryption
- Use secure communication protocols (TLS 1.3+) for data in transit
- Implement proper data retention policies to minimize exposure
- Regularly backup data with secure storage mechanisms
- Sanitize logs to remove sensitive information before sharing
- Implement comprehensive logging for all system activities
- Monitor logs for security events and anomalies
- Set up alerts for critical security events
- Regularly review security audit trails
- Implement log retention policies compliant with regulations
This project currently has no known security vulnerabilities that have not been addressed. We continuously monitor for and address security issues as they arise.
Security updates are released as patches and minor version releases. We recommend:
- Regularly check for updates to the project
- Apply security patches promptly
- Test updates in a staging environment before production deployment
- Keep dependencies updated with security patches
The Cyborg Conductor Core system is designed to support compliance with various regulatory requirements:
- GDPR: Implements data protection controls and user consent mechanisms
- HIPAA: Provides data encryption and access control features
- SOX: Offers audit trails and change tracking capabilities
- PCI-DSS: Supports secure payment processing and data handling
The project undergoes regular security testing including:
- Static code analysis for common vulnerabilities
- Dependency scanning for known vulnerabilities
- Penetration testing of the system components
- Security code reviews during development
- Automated security checks in the CI/CD pipeline
We carefully manage third-party dependencies to ensure security:
- Regular audits of all dependencies
- Automated vulnerability scanning for dependencies
- Dependency version pinning to avoid unexpected changes
- Security policy enforcement for all dependencies
In the event of a security incident:
- Immediate containment of the affected systems
- Investigation to determine the scope and impact
- Communication with affected parties and stakeholders
- Remediation of the vulnerability
- Post-incident review to prevent similar occurrences
