Hi! I was working on updating this method in cf-xarray to handle conversion between cf attributes and shapely objects and just learned about this repo! It looks really clean and well structured so I was just wondering if there is any interest in reviving it or if I should take ideas and keep building functionality into cf-xarray.

For context the goal of this work is to support serializing shapely objects to zarr: xarray-contrib/xvec#48
