Queue v0

Queue is an AI clerk for government licensing back offices. It triages inbound business license renewals: reads submissions, extracts structured fields, validates completeness against jurisdiction rules, and routes each case to a human reviewer with a pre-filled decision memo. Clerks approve, send cure letters, or escalate — they never start from a blank form.

v0 scope

  • In: Manual batch upload of renewal PDFs/images, prior-year CSV import, Columbus GA rule pack (10 validation rules)
  • Out: GovOS/Tyler integration, email ingestion, SOS API, payment processing, multi-tenant auth

Mock LLM mode works without API keys for demos.

Quick start (local)

  1. cd queue/backend && python -m venv .venv && source .venv/bin/activate && pip install -r requirements.txt
  2. cp .env.example .env (optional API keys; mock mode works without keys)
  3. uvicorn main:app --reload --port 8001 — API docs at http://localhost:8001/docs
  4. cd ../dashboard && pip install -r requirements.txt && streamlit run app.py — dashboard at http://localhost:8501

Set QUEUE_API_URL=http://localhost:8001 if the API is not on the default host.

3. Docker (optional)

cd queue
docker compose up --build

Demo flow

  1. Import prior-year data — Upload sample_data/prior_year.csv on the Upload page (or run ./scripts/demo.sh). This seeds cross-reference data for rule checks (name/address match, closed-business flag, YoY receipt changes).
  2. Upload renewals — Batch-upload renewal PDFs or images. Queue creates one case per file, extracts fields (mock or live LLM), and runs triage.
  3. Review the queue — Open the Queue page. Cases are color-coded: ready (green), needs cure (yellow), escalated (red), approved (blue), pending (gray).
  4. Case detail — Edit extracted fields if needed, read the decision memo, then approve, send cure letter, or escalate.
  5. Export — Download approved cases as CSV from the Export page for handoff to your system of record.

Or run the scripted seed:

./scripts/demo.sh

See sample_data/README.md for sample data details.
