🔔 Hi @anandhkb @ramakrishnap-nv, this pull request has had no activity for 7 days. Please update or let us know if it can be closed. Thank you! If this is an "epic" issue, then please add the "epic" label to this issue. |
Fill in the 26.10 section of RELEASE-NOTES.md from the PRs merged to main since v26.10.00a (New Features, Breaking Changes, Improvements, Bug Fixes, Documentation, New Contributors). Internal CI, packaging, test and refactor PRs are left out, and PR numbers are kept next to each entry for review. Co-Authored-By: Claude Sonnet 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com> Signed-off-by: Ramakrishna Prabhu <ramakrishnap@nvidia.com>
Add the 26.10 settings that were missing from the docs: primal simplex and its pricing and perturbation settings, the concurrent NNZ cutoff, barrier bound-free-variables, regularization, initial point safeguard and SeDuMi initial point, RENS, mutation, and CUOPT_SEQUENCE_SOLVE. Add the matching C API constants, the solver log callback, and short feature sections for primal simplex and sequence solves. Settings with HYPER in the name stay undocumented on purpose. Also correct the cuOptSetLogCallback release note, which described a CUOPT_LOG_LEVEL variable that is not in the code, and drop the Helm mention from the gRPC health-probe entry. Correct two typos in the initial-point description.
Line 365 misspells the author’s surname as Martsten; the journal index lists Roy E. Marsten as a coauthor. (ftp.math.utah.edu) Line 366 misspells satisfying as statisfying. Correct both.
As per path instructions, documentation changes must focus on “Accuracy.”

| When the same quadratic program is solved repeatedly with small changes, cuOpt can reuse the work from the first solve. Enable ``sequence_solve`` in the solver settings and solve with the barrier method. You can then change the linear objective with :meth:`~cuopt.linear_programming.data_model.DataModel.update_linear_objective` or the constraint right-hand side with :meth:`~cuopt.linear_programming.data_model.DataModel.update_rhs`, and solve again. We will also support SOCP sequential solve once #1979 is merged. Better to change When the same quadratic program is solved repeatedly to When a quadratically constrained quadratic program is solved repeatedly with only coefficient changes.

🎯 Functional Correctness | 🟡 Minor | ⚡ Quick winClarify the safeguard guarantee.
The safeguard does not place every initial-point component at least the configured distance from the boundary. Linear entries are adjusted only when their minimum is nonpositive, and direct free variables are excluded. State the separate linear, SOC, and free-variable behavior.
Suggested fix
``CUOPT_BARRIER_INITIAL_POINT_SAFEGUARD`` sets the margin used to push the barrier method's initial point into the interior of the nonnegative orthant and, for second-order cone problems, into the interior of the cones. The initial point is shifted so that it is -at least this far from the boundary. The value must be greater than or equal to ``0``. +the safeguard adjusts linear entries when their minimum is nonpositive and sets second-order-cone heads to the tail norm plus this margin. Direct free variables are not adjusted. The value must be greater than or equal to ``0``.🤖 Prompt for AI Agents

Every PR currently shows one cancelled `NVSkills CI (non-blocking) / require-nvskills-ci` check (`gh pr checks` reports it as failed). On a `pull_request` event the `request` job calls `team-request.yml`, whose nested `require-nvskills-ci` job runs the same shared status workflow as the top-level `require-nvskills-ci` job. That workflow cancels in-progress runs in a per-PR concurrency group, so the two copies cancel each other. In the last five PR runs I checked (#2122, #2138, #2139, #2141, #1972) one copy was cancelled and the other succeeded. This drops `pull_request` from the `request` job's condition, so it only handles `issue_comment` and `push`, which is all `team-request.yml` does for it. The top-level non-blocking check stays as the single status check, and the `/nvskills-ci` and signature-push flows are unchanged. This PR's own run should show a single `require-nvskills-ci` job. 🤖 Generated with [Claude Code](https://claude.com/claude-code) Authors: - Ramakrishna Prabhu (https://github.com/ramakrishnap-nv) Approvers: - Kyle Edwards (https://github.com/KyleFromNVIDIA) URL: #2144

They share one directory because they import each other by bare file name. - Adds two of the files to the `libcuopt-client` conda `package_contents` test. - Adds a README note to the `libcuopt-client` wheel.
