Adds read/write support for Amkette's XS series. These mice share VID 0x04F3 and PIDs 0x026E/0x026F with the Ryunix Kyu Pro MX1 and use the same OEM firmware protocol, reverse-engineered from Amkette's public WebHID configurators.
Changes
src/ryunix/protocol.ts: shared 31-byte command framing and checksum, encoders for the DPI table and stage colours, polling rate, lift-off, lighting, power, sensor options and buttons, plus the sensor and button tables.
src/amkette: model identity (USB product strings, Bluetooth slot names), Bluetooth PID 0x026D and the usage-0x00 configuration collection, exported as @openmouse/protocol/amkette.
src/drivers/amkette/xs-hid.ts: read/write driver with acknowledgement polling, confirmation against fresh telemetry, and write-only state for settings the mouse cannot report. Registered and filtered on usage 0x00.
The Ryunix Kyu Pro MX1 driver (usage 0xC7) is unchanged and stays read-only. Its telemetry decoder now also accepts battery status 2 and the 2/4/8 kHz polling codes, and reports the top polling class and sensor type.
docs/amkette-xs-flow-testing.md records the evidence, what was verified on hardware, and what was not.

Evidence
Protocol source: Amkette's public WebHID configurators (support.amkette.com/webapp/xs_flow_2_speed/, xs_flow_plus/, xs_natural_plus/). No vendor binaries or proprietary source are included.
Codec tests check the frames against an independent re-implementation of the configurator's own framing and checksum.
Tested on hardware (one XS Flow 2 Speed)
Picker match and telemetry decode over USB, the 2.4 GHz receiver and Bluetooth LE (macOS); picker match and naming over USB on Windows.
Polling-rate and lighting-mode writes through OpenMouse over USB, each confirmed by a fresh status report.
Lift-off writes acknowledged over Bluetooth and the receiver; lighting effect, brightness and speed writes acknowledged over the receiver (probe tool).
Product name: XS Speed over USB on Windows (empty on macOS), XS speed N over Bluetooth, where N is the active Bluetooth slot.
Lift-off, brightness and effect speed do not appear in any readable report, so they are write-only.
DPI over USB: choosing a stage in OpenMouse writes the stage table and switches stage, confirmed by the mouse's status report and its stage light; pressing the mouse's DPI button is followed in OpenMouse.
Not verified / assumptions
Editing a single stage's value, stage colours, auto sleep, the sensor toggles and button remapping are encoded from the configurator but not checked on the mouse. DPI writes over the receiver and Bluetooth have not been tried through OpenMouse.
Usage 0x00 (XS) versus 0xC7 (Kyu Pro MX1) is the only difference seen, from one unit of each. No new behaviour is enabled for the Kyu Pro MX1.
The XS Flow Plus and XS Natural Plus labels come from their configurators only. Bluetooth slots 1 and 3 have not been seen.
The command acknowledgement carries no sequence number; the driver assumes it reflects the newest command.
Checks
npm run check passes (2691 tests, package dry run).
Added support for Amkette XS mice, including device identification, status reporting, and controls for DPI, polling rate, lighting, button mappings, and other settings.
Added a public Amkette protocol import and documentation covering compatibility and observed XS Flow behavior.
Expanded Ryunix device telemetry with battery status, maximum polling rate, and sensor details.
Bug Fixes
Improved validation of Ryunix telemetry and battery-status reporting, including clearer handling of full and unknown battery states.
Note
Add Amkette XS series HID driver with shared Ryunix protocol
Adds AmketteXsHidClient in xs-hid.ts supporting status reads, DPI table editing, polling rate, lighting, sleep, lift-off, sensor options, and button mappings. Writes are serialized, retried with acknowledgements, and confirmed against telemetry. Settings the mouse does not report are cached in session state (see stateFor and resetAmketteXsWriteState).
Adds a shared Ryunix protocol module in protocol.ts with frame builders, sensor tables, polling-rate and lighting mappings. The Kyu Pro MX1 driver now uses it instead of its local polling-rate table, adding 2000/4000/8000 Hz codes.
Registers the driver in registry.ts, adds HID filters in vendors.ts, and exports the new ./amkette package path in package.json. Amkette XS shares the Ryunix vendor ID and firmware; the two are distinguished by configuration-collection usage (0x00 vs 0xC7).
Fixes Kyu Pro MX1 battery reporting: telemetry battery status code 2 now reads Full at 100% and Unknown below (see kyu-pro-mx1-hid.ts).
Includes a hardware testing note in amkette-xs-flow-testing.md listing verified and unverified operations.
Risk: decodeKyuProMx1Telemetry now accepts battery status code 2 and additional polling-rate codes; Kyu Pro MX1 status with status code 2 below 100% reports Unknown instead of Charging/Discharging.

Walkthrough
The change adds shared Ryunix command protocol helpers and extends Kyu Pro MX1 telemetry decoding. It adds Amkette XS identification, an HID client with device settings, driver registration, package exports, tests, and hardware integration notes.
Adds Ryunix frame builders and protocol tests. Kyu Pro MX1 telemetry now includes battery status, maximum polling code, and sensor type when present. Battery status code 2 reports "Full" at 100% battery and "Unknown" below 100%.
Adds product IDs, model metadata, normalized product-name matching, receiver-name detection, and Bluetooth slot parsing. Exports the Amkette module.
Amkette HID client and controls src/drivers/amkette/xs-hid.ts, src/drivers/amkette/xs-hid.test.ts
Adds Amkette HID support detection, telemetry and status handling, and controls for polling, DPI, lift-off, sleep, sensor options, lighting, and buttons. Commands are serialized and retried. The client confirms selected writes against telemetry when available.
Adds Amkette HID filters and registry selection, accepts the Amkette brand in MouseStatus, and adds package exports and a README entry. The integration note records hardware observations, verification limits, and settings constraints.
The Amkette registration adds WebHID support without changing native-adapter behavior. No merge-blocking issue remains established; the change is ready subject to normal checks.
Security architecture risk: Moderate · up to 83c4f
The new driver checks device identity before opening it, but remembered settings are shared between mice with the same product ID and can influence subsequent hardware writes. Concurrent setting changes can also overwrite one another despite serialized command transmission. These risks concern device isolation and configuration integrity; no broader permission bypass was established.
Retained concerns
Medium · architecture · observed: Write-only configuration is owned by product ID rather than by device. Two same-PID mice share remembered DPI, button, and sensor settings; a later setter on one device can incorporate the other device's values into actual hardware commands. The documented sharing is intentional, but collection filtering and per-client transport ownership do not isolate this mutable state.
Medium · reliability · inferred: The queue serializes transmission and confirmation, not the complete read-modify-write transition. Compound setters snapshot cached settings before entering the queue and commit afterward. Concurrent sensor-option, button, or DPI edits can therefore send stale companion values and overwrite an earlier successful change. This permits configuration drift even within one client; the existing concurrency test covers independent command ordering rather than competing updates to the same state.
Security review details
Security Blast Radius
inferred — The demonstrated propagation scope is same-PID Amkette clients sharing one module instance. Remembered settings can influence writes to another supplied device, but the actual transport remains that client's HIDDevice. This is configuration-state contamination, not demonstrated acquisition of access to an unprovided device or a cross-origin permission bypass.
Trust Boundaries and Controls
observed — The registry passes the caller's device directly to the selected client, rather than acquiring devices itself. Public API availability and matching descriptor values do not independently establish browser permission or trusted device identity; the production consumer's permission policy was not available for assessment.
Resilience and Maintainability Implications
observed — Acknowledgements indicate success without command identity, and failed fresh-telemetry confirmation can fall back to already matching cached telemetry. Receiver observations support acknowledgement polling, and tests cover fresh confirmation and explicit mismatch rejection, but neither establishes stale-response rejection. Consequently, reported success is not a strict guarantee of a fresh, attributable hardware transition.

Explanation
The title "feat: add Amkette XS series support" matches the main change. The PR adds Amkette XS mouse identification, a writable HID client on usage 0x00, and shared Ryunix protocol encoders. The title is short and specific, and it uses the conventional commit prefix. It does not mention the Kyu Pro MX1 telemetry changes, but that is a secondary aspect.

Two mice with the same productId share write-only settings, so readStatus() for mouse B reports mouse A’s DPI table, button mappings, and processing options; editing B can also send A’s cached values to B. writeOnlyByProduct and stateFor() key only by product ID, and close() leaves the entry intact. Key this state by device identity instead.

Macroscope's review found this PR requires human approval — Adds Amkette XS telemetry and settings support while keeping Ryunix read-only. The unresolved shared-state concern needs resolution: mice with the same product ID can inherit each other’s cached settings and receive unintended configuration writes.

Do not accept an uncorrelated acknowledgement as command success.
sendFrame sends a frame with a sequence value, but it returns when ryunixAckOk(bytesOf(ack)) is true. That predicate checks only acknowledgement byte 1. The acknowledgement has no sequence value, so a delayed success report from an earlier command can satisfy the current polling loop. Write-only setters such as setLiftOffDistance can then update local state and return success even when the current command was not acknowledged.
Require a post-command correlated confirmation. If the device cannot provide correlation or a readable state, report the write as unconfirmed instead of treating ryunixAckOk alone as success.

Update sendFrame so ryunixAckOk alone cannot confirm the current command;
require a post-command confirmation correlated to that command, such as a

callers do not treat it as successful.
Minor · Do not use retained telemetry to satisfy a failed fresh confirmation. · xs-hid.ts:416-432
Do not use retained telemetry to satisfy a failed fresh confirmation.
confirmByTelemetry returns null when its post-command polls find no match. The fallback then checks this.telemetry, which can be retained from before the command. A retained matching report makes send resolve successfully. Polling-rate, lighting, and active-stage writes can therefore report success without fresh evidence.
Preserve the documented acknowledgement-only path when no telemetry exists, but reject whenever retained telemetry exists and fresh confirmation fails.

Review follow-ups on the XS driver:
- Setters that build a frame from write-only state (DPI stages, active
stage, stage count, stage colours, sensor options, lighting, buttons) now
read and update that state inside the queued transaction. Before, two
concurrent calls such as setAngleSnapping(true) and setRippleControl(true)
both built their frame from the state before either, so the second write
turned the first one's option back off while both reported success.
- A telemetry waiter removes itself when it settles, including on timeout,
so status reads against a mouse that sends nothing no longer pile up
closures until the next report.
