Merge Risk: 🟡 Moderate · up to CI documentation checks currently fail. Run controls can mislabel finished runs, queued steers can be lost when a run ends, reported spend can be wrong, and completed turns can be marked interrupted. Resolve these issues before merging. Security Architecture ReviewSecurity architecture risk: 🔵 Low · up to The new attachment-storage API depends on callers supplying safe identifiers and an appropriately isolated directory. Its write operation does not enforce those assumptions itself. No production caller demonstrating attacker exposure was found in the repository, so the concern is limited and conditional, but downstream usage remains unverified. Retained concerns

so shutdown cannot race with forwarding after queue.drain(lane).await:

- Around line 221-244: Update apply_control and the run-ledger operations to
condition the status update on the previously read from_status, using a

matches, reload the run and return InvalidTransition; perform the status update
and append_run_event insert in one transaction so they succeed or fail together.
Review comments at @crates/tinyagents-session/src/transcript/spend.rs:
- Line 160: Update the usage aggregation around the root lookup in
TranscriptLocator so retained messages copied by truncate_into_next_generation
are counted only once across generations. Apply the same deduplication rule to
root and descendant totals for input tokens, output tokens, cached tokens, cost,
and turn count; add a two-generation regression where the successor retains a
usage-bearing assistant message.
- Line 87: Update the spend aggregation path around read_transcript so it reads
usage accounting records independently of compacted model-context replay,
preserving usage from removed turns while excluding interrupted partials and
deduplicating usage copied into compaction replacements. Add a regression test
using append_transcript_turn that verifies historical spend remains unchanged
after compaction.
Review comments at
@crates/tinyagents-session/src/turn_state/mirror/lifecycle.rs:
- Around line 24-41: Update the turn-finishing flow around get_turn and flush to
perform the completed-state check and interrupted write atomically in one store
operation, preventing settle_turn from racing between them. If the stored turn
is already Completed, return before mutating state or flushing so its snapshot
remains unchanged.

Update the pinned commits for the tinyinference and tinytools vendored dependencies to incorporate upstream changes. Auto-committed-on: dragonfly
Co-authored-by: Medulla <medulla@tinyhumans.ai>
When the forwarder queue is empty, the previous implementation would panic due to an unwrap on a None value. This change adds a check for an empty queue before attempting to dequeue, returning early instead of crashing. Auto-committed-on: dragonfly
The forwarder now correctly processes messages with empty payloads instead of skipping them. This fixes a bug where zero-length payloads were treated as missing data, causing downstream consumers to miss valid messages that intentionally carry no content. Auto-committed-on: dragonfly
When a compaction turn's usage matches an earlier turn's usage exactly, the previous logic incorrectly treated it as a carry-over and excluded it from the spend calculation. This change fixes the comparison to only skip turns where the message content itself was carried from a prior context, not where the usage numbers happen to be identical. A test is added to verify that such turns are correctly counted in the spend. Auto-committed-on: dragonfly
…eturned paths The concurrent writes test under a tight capacity was asserting that every returned path still existed, but a path can be legitimately evicted by a later write after its own write returns. The test now checks the end state: at least one write succeeded and the total size of files in the stash directory is within the configured capacity. Auto-committed-on: dragonfly
